Just wanted to leave a review for Megan because we concluded our 6 week training session with our golden. It was so effective and our young golden has improved immensely due to our training sessions! We signed up for more classes just to continue all the amazing work she is helping us put in with our pup. Highly recommend OffBeat Canine if you are looking for positive reinforcement dog training!

We reached out to Megan from Offbeat Canine after realizing our Corgi pup, Finn, was struggling with barrier aggression and showing some challenging behaviors, like lunging at moving cars during walks. We discovered her services through a local Corgi Facebook group, and from the moment we reached out, she has been incredibly communicative and supportive.
From day one, Megan has gone above and beyond to help us. She is not only extremely knowledgeable but also incredibly patient - not just with Finn but with us as well! She comes to our home, which has been incredibly convenient, and it’s clear that she is truly passionate about what she does.
Her training has completely transformed our walks and Finn’s behavior. Before, we couldn’t walk Finn without him chasing cars or barking and lunging at people and dogs. Now, he heels beautifully, sits and waits on command, and no longer reacts. She’s also helped us desensitize him to vacuums and address his barrier aggression.
We’ve done two board-and-train sessions with her, and each time, we knew Finn was in the best possible care. She sent us daily updates with photos and videos, which helped us feel connected and at ease while he was away. We missed him, but we never had to worry about him for a second.
What we love most is that Megan is not just training Finn - she's teaching us how to be better dog owners. She gives us resources, tools, and advice that have made such a difference.
If you’re looking for someone who is not only a skilled trainer but also genuinely cares about your dog and your family, we couldn’t recommend Offbeat Canine enough. She has made such a positive impact on our lives, and we’re so grateful to have found her!

We cannot say enough good things about Meg! From the very beginning, when we brought our dog Frankie home this summer, she has been an invaluable resource. She guided us through crate training, leash training, and so much more, making what could have been a stressful process so much smoother.
In addition to walking and training Frankie once a week, she recently took him in for a board and train program, and the results have been incredible. His skills have improved so quickly, and he is now such a well-behaved and confident dog. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine care for our pup are unmatched.
I can always send her a quick text when I have a question or need help with Frankie and she always sends over a detailed response to help guide me in that moment. I cannot imagine managing a new puppy without her.
If you’re looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable but also truly passionate about helping dogs and their owners succeed, look no further. We are so grateful for everything she has done for us and Frankie! 😊

If you’re looking for a friendly, flexible and caring trainer you should definitely check out Offbeat. Our Australian shepherd has been part of the band for months now and our girl has grown more confident and content in our home and around others.
Our pup looks forward to seeing Megan come through our door and is immediately exciting to start learning, as are we. She has helped us in so many situations of learning all the ways of loving and caring for a herding breed even when all felt lost after our girls reactivity started. Our pup was attacked a few months before finding Offbeat and Meg has always been so supportive and caring for our girl and her needs and ours and how to help with both our anxiety’s around other pups while building confidence.
We also boarded with Offbeat which was so easy and comforting knowing she was being well cared for and we loved the updates of seeing her happy as ever!!
Thank you Megan for all of your hard work with training us and our crazy kids to best help our furry friend! Thank you for always being flexible and a positive presence in our home for us all! We cannot wait to see what more we will learn from you in the future!

I contacted Meg after my vet recommended her to help train our new corgi puppy, Tate aka Tater Tot. My puppy was showing signs of resource guarding, and I really wanted to modify this behavior while he was still young. She came to my home and trained Tate and ME on how to help modify this behavior, along with supplementing his basic obedience training.
After one session with her, Tate showed significant improvement with his resource guarding! I was truly amazed. My family and I continued to work with Meg, when we decided to try a Board and Train.
She did such a phenomenal job! It was so obvious she cared for him just as much as we did. We discussed expectations, but she far exceeded them. She even got Tate to go downstairs - which he had been terrified of after a tumble! Tate came back truly a different dog. She even provided us with "A Guide to Tater" to help us use all the same terminology she used when working with him.
Meg went above and beyond, and I highly recommend her!

1000000/10 would recommend! Megan has been nothing but knowledgeable, passionate, and welcoming since we began training with our new pup. After a couple months of private in home training sessions, our boy has found some newfound confidence and has so many new skills! We will continue to reach out to Megan for sessions as our boy grows up, and I recommend those looking for a trainer to reach out to Offbeat Canine if you are looking for a trainer who is welcoming, listens, and teams up with you on training up your pup.

We contacted Meg when we adopted a lab/shepherd mix. We are more experienced with small breeds and were feeling extremely overwhelmed by our new big puppy. It was very apparent after our audition that we made the right choice. Meg is very knowledgeable and truly wants to meet owners and their dogs where they are at. She tailors training to work for you and your respective lifestyle. Most importantly, she does everything with great compassion and without judgement. Each jam session made a HUGE difference in our lives. We now have a much more manageable, loving puppy who is fitting into our family wonderfully. We will definitely be back for more continued education jam sessions as our puppy ages. Thank you for everything Meg!

I went to Meg because I was concerned about my dog, Lily, after two separate dog attacks by off leash dogs. She had become skittish and what people might consider "reactive" on our walks. Meg was approachable, non judgmental, kind and most of all, knowledgeable. She taught me how to watch Lily and her body language. She gave feedback every step of the way! She didn't just focus on that, either. She gave me invaluable advice on my handling. We are now back out enjoying our walks, playing new games, and just plain having fun! Thanks Offbeat Canine!

Megan was great, teaching us useful was to help Willy learn how to walk on leach and how to calm with place without all the treats.

Megan is a knowledgeable, judgement free trainer that will meet you where you are at in your journey handling your pup to come up with an individualized plan to set you and your family up for success! Moose and I have loved working with her to learn new techniques as well as coping mechanisms to get through adolescent puppy hurdles. I couldn’t recommend Megan more. The biggest plus is she will come to you! She is extremely flexible and patient as well!
